"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing" - 1 Thessalonians 5:11
We are committed to helping the women of Clifton grow in knowing, loving, and serving our Sovereign Creator God, and to work together as we grow in Christ-likeness, by His grace.
Our ministries focus on the Word of God, on evangelism and discipleship, and on many areas of practical service. We invite all women of Clifton to be involved as they are able. Our earnest prayer is that God will use these ministries for His glory and for our good.
For more information, or if you have questions, please contact: Jodi Ware, Deacon of Women's Ministry.
Upcoming Events:
Woman2Woman Workshops:The women of Clifton are invited to our 2021 Woman2Woman Workshops, where we will have a great opportunity to learn from three Clifton women: Debbie Mazziotti will talk to us about studying God's Word; Hannah Carter will help us with relational challenges; and Candice Watters will show how traditions encourage spiritual formation in children.
We will meet on Saturday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Clifton's auditorium. Please wear your masks, and enter through the Frankfort Avenue door. We hope to see you there!
See below for a list of our regular activities:
Women's Bible Studies
Women’s Bible studies are held during the fall (September – November) and spring (January – March) Tuesdays or Thursdays in a home or at the church. Also check the Clifton Messenger for announcements of periodic evening Bible Studies throughout the year.
The Children's Clothing Closet
This room provides an opportunity to share children's clothing (size newborn to size 6) and shoes. What your family no longer needs may be just what another family does need.
Meals Ministry
The women of Clifton are glad to provide meals as needed for: mothers of new babies, those with on-going health concerns, and elderly members of our body.
Meet 'N Greet
An annual event usually held the Tuesday evening after Labor Day. It is a structured yet informal evening full of fun, coffee, and getting to know other ladies.
Women's Retreat
Join us for our annual retreat, held on a Friday night and Saturday during the winter. This is a great opportunity for fellowship, teaching, personal reflection, worship, and fun.
Scarlet Hope
Scarlet Hope’s vision is to engage women in the adult entertainment industry with the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching them that salvation is found in Christ alone. Through holistic and gospel-centered career development, our vision is to see every woman know her identity in Christ and follow after Jesus, making disciples that make disciples. Clifton women can partner with this ministry through specific outreach opportunities (providing meals, providing gift bags for various holidays, prayer) and discipleship.
Seasoned Saints
This group of empty nesters (and near-empty nesters) offers a few activities every year, some for couples and some for women. Ladies also meet once a month to pray for their unsaved, adult children.
Simeon Trust
Simeon Trust is an 8-week study on how to study and teach the Bible. It is in an easy to use, on-line format, taught by known and trusted teachers. The Simeon Trust program allows women to learn together, to discuss strategies and pitfalls, and to help one another as we talk through teaching outlines we prepare weekly. It costs $20 per attendee.
Showers - Baby and Wedding
We love to celebrate with newly engaged/married couples and first-time moms at Clifton, and we want to help you if you are interested in hosting a shower for someone and need help or ideas.
Summer Play Group
Mothers and children of Clifton are invited to gather for play, lunch, and fellowship at a variety of Louisville parks throughout the summer. Check the bulletin and Messenger for details.
Woman2Woman
We want to promote a culture of women mentoring women at Clifton. We seek to do this through connections within small groups, Sunday school classes, women's Bible studies, service opportunities, and other ministries. If you would like help finding a mentor, contact our deacon of Women's Ministry.
